Dip your toes into the pool

Call.

Talk about four letter words.  This one tops my list.  Let's face it, I am not a huge fan of call.  But it is a necessary part of being a doctor, and one I was aware of when I made this choice.  So I won't waste my time here bemoaning call.

Rather, this will be a place to celebrate call.  Truly.  Being the "on call" doc provides a multitude of crazy, silly, scary, gross, ridiculous stories.  Without violating HIPAA or patient confidentiality, here I will share some of those stories.
